
Christy Wegener is the Executive Director of the Livermore Amador Valley Transit Authority. Over the course of her 20-year public transit career, she has worked at multiple transit agencies in a variety of positions, including the Director of Planning at both SamTrans and LAVTA. In her career, she has focused on advancing projects to improve the customer experience, including leading two major bus system redesigns that led to increased ridership, implementing, upgrading and expanding transit signal priority systems, piloting microtransit service, and launching one of the first public transit-partnerships with Uber and Lyft in California: Go Tri-Valley.
Ms. Wegener holds a Master’s in Public Policy from California State University Sacramento, and a Bachelor’s in Psychology and Sociology from the University of California, Davis. She was recognized as one of Mass Transit Magazine’s Top 40 under 40, and is a graduate of Leadership APTA.
