Course Details:

Electrical 2 is an advanced course designed to improve technicians’ ability to diagnose electrical circuits in bus electronic management systems, with a focus on alternative-fuel vehicles. Students work with real vehicle schematics and perform hands-on lab exercises that simulate real-world troubleshooting scenarios.

Course Description:

Electrical 2 is an advanced course designed to improve technicians’ ability to diagnose  electrical circuits in bus electronic management systems, with a focus on alternative-fuel vehicles. Students work with real vehicle schematics and perform hands-on lab  exercises that simulate real-world troubleshooting scenarios.

Course Learning Objectives 

  • Review and apply fundamental electrical concepts, including Ohm’s Law and  DMM usage 
  • Analyze and troubleshoot series and parallel circuits 
  • Identify and resolve circuit malfunctions 
  • Understand and interpret relay circuits 
  • Read and trace wiring schematics, including symbols and nomenclature
  • Test and troubleshoot battery, starting, and charging systems

Electrical 1: Electrical Fundamentals

Electrical 1 is designed to build and strengthen a technician’s foundational electrical skills and proficiency with the digital multimeter. The course covers core electrical fundamentals including, electron theory, electromagnetism, electrical circuits, and basic formulas.
