This course prepares you to safely fuel hydrogen fuel-cell electric buses at operational fueling stations. You will learn how hydrogen fueling stations work, complete fueling procedures from start to finish, and learn emergency response protocols. The training combines classroom instruction with hands-on practice at a live fueling station. By the end of this course, you will be qualified to fuel hydrogen buses while maintaining the highest safety standards.

Course Objectives

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

• Identify the main components of liquid hydrogen and gaseous hydrogen fueling stations
• Apply proper safety protocols during all fueling operations, including PPE selection, hazard recognition, and ignition source elimination
• Perform hydrogen bus fueling procedures and monitor system parameters
• Distinguish between operational issues and emergency situations
• Locate all Emergency Stop button positions at your fueling station and demonstrate proper shutdown, evacuation, and communication procedures
• Troubleshoot common fueling issues, including error codes and equipment malfunctions
• Complete all required fueling documentation
• Demonstrate safe work practices in all areas of the fueling station
