Course Description
In this one-day, online, fast-paced workshop participants learn what Kouzes and Posner researched and identified as the five key leadership practices. Leadership is “common sense, but not common practice.” In this workshop we will examine what makes a great leader “great,” looking at a commonsense approach as well as Kouzes and Posner’s five key leadership practices. Participants learn what they can do to improve their leadership skills.
You may have watched the movie “Remember the Titans,” the real-life story of a coach and a football team overcoming seemingly insurmountable issues to become a high performing team. If you did watch the movie, you probably did not watch it from the perspective of team building and leadership. We will examine why particular techniques were successful and why they were appropriate to the situation.
